The Wonder Years Premiere New Music Video For “Dismantling Summer”

March 24th, 2014 by Megan Washington

In the midst of The Wonder Years massively successful North American run of “The Greatest Generation” tour, the band has released a brand new music video for their song “Dismantling Summer”, taken from their most recent album “The Greatest Generation” released in May of 2013. The video can be seen now over at the official Hopeless Records YouTube channel here:

The video was directed by Drew Russ and shot in the band’s hometown of Philadelphia, PA. “We knew that for a song so personal, a literal re-telling for the video would be unwelcome and painful.” Says lead vocalist Dan “Soupy” Campbell. “Drew, the director took the core nerve of the song, the idea of being away when it matters most, and spun it into an absurdist piece of dark comedy during which my family found themselves fed up with my perpetual absence and replaced me with a mannequin, leaving me in the literal cold.”

The band is currently headlining their hugely successful North American run of “The Greatest Generation Tour” with support from Fireworks, Real Friends, Citizen and Modern Baseball. Due to popular demand, a second show was added in Chicago and most of the dates are selling out quickly, with Philadelphia and New York City already sold out. The band plays a sold out show tonight at the House Of Blues in Anaheim, CA.
