As The Dirty Heads’ co-headlining tour with Matisyahu continues to makes its way across America, the Southern California band has teamed up with their tour mate for “Dance All Night,” the second single from their Top 20 album CABIN BY THE SEA, which was globally released June 19 on Five Seven Music. The band’s second album debuted at #18 on Billboard’s “Top 200 Albums” chart (their highest chart position to date), #3 on the “Independent Albums” chart, #4 on the “Alternative Albums” chart and #9 on the “Digital Albums” chart.
Now comes word that The Dirty Heads’ smash hit “Lay Me Down,” from their critically acclaimed Any Port In A Storm debut album (released via the Executive Music Group label via Fontana/Universal), has been certified Gold. The song spent 11 weeks at #1 on Billboard’s “Alternative Songs” chart, holding the record for the longest reign at #1 for an indie label and remained in the chart’s history. It remained in the Top 12 for another 39 weeks after that. And the song has been heard over 250,000 times on radio stations across the U.S. The album itself has sold nearly 200,000 copies nationwide.
