The Ataris, Red City Radio and Others To Embark on Paper + Plastered Tour

August 8th, 2012 by Megan Washington

The Ataris have announced a slew of fall tour dates that weave across the full United States. The tour takes the band across the West Coast and Southwest with special guests Strung Out and Nothington before joining up with Flatfoot 56 and Red City Radio for three-week stint across the South, up the East Coast and around the Northeast.

Being dubbed the “Paper + Plastered Tour,” the bulk of the tour dates feature The Ataris playing with Paper + Plastick Records labelmates Flatfoot 56 as direct support and Red City Radio as opening support. The Ataris will be out for just over a month in total, playing carefully selected venues across the country for intimate band-to-fan interaction before hibernating for the winter to finish up their sixth studio album, The Graveyard of The Atlantic. This highly anticipated new chapter of The Ataris’ career is expected to release in the spring of 2013 via Paper + Plastick.

Meanwhile, Flatfoot 56 is supporting its latest full-length album, Toil, which came out July 24 via Paper + Plastick. The band’s fourth label-backed studio album came out to rave reviews from critics and adoration from fans all around. The group’s well-documented Celtic punk sound provides a backbone for an album that is more rootsy in nature than previous Flatfoot 56 releases, with more acoustic guitars and sing-along parts.
