Megan Is A Finalist For The MLB Fan Cave

February 17th, 2012 by Megan Washington

If you are a baseball fan, then you are well aware of the MLB Fan Cave. For those of you who are not familiar with it, we’ll take some time to explain in a moment. Our very own Megan Washington applied a few months ago to live out every fan’s “baseball dream job.” Major League Baseball (MLB) started a new concept last year called the Fan Cave where two guys got to watch all 2,430 regular season games from the comfort of a 15,000 square foot facility on the corner of 4th and Broadway in New York City. The men filmed skits with ball players, wrote blogs, tweeted fans, and entertained musical guests who visited the Cave.

This year, MLB is bringing back the Fan Cave for it’s second season–with a new format. You won’t see just two men sitting on the couches throughout the day with a mass wall of televisions in front of them. This year, you will see an un-named amount of participants dwelling in the Cave competing for your votes to stay for the duration of the season. MLB has switched formats to a reality-esque plan where there will be one winner, to be named prior to the first pitch of the 2012 World Series.

Out of over 22,000 applicants, Megan caught the eye of MLB with her writing style and her audition video. In order to make it to the top 30, Megan needs your votes. You can vote for her by accessing this link: You can also follow her on twitter to help show your support: @teammegan
